Valorem Improvement Contest
No one has cornered the market on great ideas. Certainly not us, But we feed on great ideas, so we wanted to try something out. Here's the message:
We want to get everyone’s creative juices flowing. And everyone means everyone, except for Nicole, Mark, Hugh and Pat (i.e. the judges). If your friend, wants to submit an idea, fantastic. Clients? Great. Kids too (yes, even kids of partners as long as it doesn’t look like Mom or Dad is a ghost-writer). Ringers (business experts, entrepreneurs, etc.) also permitted.
Here’s the deal: Valorem’s mission is to do things “better, cheaper, faster, and COOLER” than everybody else. So any idea that is intended to make us a BETTER law firm, one that does its work CHEAPER than before or FASTER than before, or just something that is COOL is an idea that will be considered. We encourage you to THINK BIG, but little ideas are okay too.
Submit your entries (one idea per entry, please, but multiple entries are allowed and encouraged) to: cassie.saunders@valoremlaw.com.
Cassie will assign each idea a number, so that the identity of the person submitting the idea will not be known to the judges. Ideas will be posted in the office and everyone is invited to put post-its with comments on each idea.
Deadline for entries is July 31st. Winners will be announced on August 14th.
First prize: $200 (or whatever really cool thing Nicole dreams up)
Second prize: $50 (or whatever semi cool thing Nicole dreams up).
Winners will be determined by the judges. In the case of a 2-2 tie vote, a slug fest will ensue until someone emerges victorious. The decision of the judges is final. Bribes are not permitted (but if no one finds out, go for it!).
So there you have it. I'll probably blog about the ideas submitted, whether they were all in-house ideas or if others got into this.
